Here it is, Dukes…

We’re beginning the last stretch. Seniors, this time is especially crucial for us. We will be experiencing our final moments of an experience we imagined would never end. It was just yesterday when we were bright-eyed freshman losing our breath as we climbed the Warren hill trying to figure out where PC Dukes was located. May 2016 seemed like light years away. Alas… nearly four years have passed and we have grown up together.

We are no longer those same 18 year-olds. At this stage in our lives, we are all concerned about the future. Unlike high school graduation, there is no standard path to take. Whether you are taking on your first “adult job,” attending grad school, or simply trying to navigate this new journey, just know that you are not in it alone. This is a new journey for all of us. For everyone stuck in limbo, undecided about your future path, I understand how you feel. There is no need to be scared. There are tons of options for those not ready to enter the workforce… maybe join the Peace Corps or Teach For America, volunteer for a non-profit, travel the world, or just take some time to understand who you are in this new adult world. But for now, stop stressing, stop having what-if thoughts about the future, and start enjoying these last times as a Senior. We’ve worked hard to get to this position, so why not enjoy the fruits of our labor and celebrate until the end. This may be the end of an era, but its also the beginning of a lifetime.

-Often when you think you're at the end of something, you're at the beginning of something else.

From one Senior to Another
