We’re so excited to be back in Harrisonburg and at JMU! This year’s Daily Duke team is comprised of all new and excited members.

Emily Bennett

I am Emily Bennett, a second year graduate student in the Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication program. I graduated from the Public Policy and Administration major in May of 2015 (Double Duke!) and went straight into graduate school from there. I’ve lived in Norfolk, VA my whole life until coming to JMU. My goal is to start my career in social media management after I graduate in the spring and then see where life takes me from there. I’m thrilled to be working with The Daily Duke and I can’t wait to see what this year brings!

But enough about me — let’s meet the rest of the Daily Duke team!

DylanMy name is Dylan Bozic. I’m a senior SMAD major here at JMU. I live in Augusta County and graduated from Stuarts Draft High School. I have a big passion for the creative arts. While I was growing up, drawing and animation were a big part of my life. During school, I took every opportunity to draw. In high school, I attended the Shenandoah Valley Governor’s School for the Arts, and it stretched my creativity. After college, I would love to get into animation or filmmaking. I’m thrilled to have an opportunity to work on The Daily Duke. I hope everyone enjoys what we’ve got in store for this year!

Sam D'AddarioHey everyone! My name’s Sam D’Addario, and I’m a senior communications major with a concentration in public relations. I am the president of JMU Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and head contemporary choreographer of Madison Dance Club. I am from Long Island, NY and spent my summer interning in Washington, D.C. After graduation, I hope to work at a public relations firm. I am so excited to be working with The Daily Duke, and I hope you all enjoy!

Kali Herr

Hey Dukes! I’m Kali Herr, I am a senior Media Arts and Design major. Before transferring to JMU my sophomore year, I attended a community college in my hometown – Lancaster PA. After graduation, I hope to pursue a career within advertising. I am very excited to be writing for the daily duke this year and to be working with the rest of our daily duke team!

Emma KlebeHi there! I am Emma Klebe, a senior studying within JMU’s School of Media Arts and Design with a concentration in Integrated Advertising and Corporate Communication. I’m originally from Columbus, Ohio so I came into JMU pretty unfamiliar with the area and basically knowing no one, but that is one of the things I love about my college experience! Over my last three years I’ve branched out to a variety of organizations on and off campus which have led me to meet many new people and create amazing memories. I am very excited to take on my senior year and work with The Daily Duke team to show others why I love JMU!

Jolie Klein

Hi my name is Jolie Klein and I am a senior SMAD major at James Madison University concentrating in Converged Media. I am from Amityville, New York. At JMU, I am actively involved in my sorority as Vice President, the Orientation Team, and a First yeaR Orientation Guide (FROG). After I graduate from JMU, I plan to return to New York and hopefully work in advertising in New York City and have the opportunity to travel the world.

Pat MoultonI’m Pat Moulton, a Senior Communication Studies major from Spotsylvania, VA. Over the summer I interned with a Public Relations firm in Alexandria, VA and then studied abroad in South Korea. I am still unsure what I want to do after I graduate in May, but I am confident that I’ll figure my life out before then! I’m excited to be apart of the Daily Duke team and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me!

IMIchelle Mullins am Michelle Mullins, a junior majoring in Marketing and Media Arts & Design with a concentration in Creative Advertising. I’m from Leesburg, VA (also known as “NOVA”). Ciao! I’m Raquel Sheriff, a senior SMAD major Raquel Sherifffrom Woodbridge, Virginia. Yes, I’m incredibly sad that this is my senior year here at JMU… but I’m ready to hit the ground running in the real world. Recently, I spent the last two semesters (Spring and Summer ’16) studying and interning abroad in London and Los Angeles. You can definitely say I have a bad case of wanderlust. Throughout traveling I’ve learned so much about myself and what I want to do after college. My goal is to move to LA and work my way up to becoming a talent agent. I’m so thankful for this opportunity to work with the Daily Duke and am excited to bring a fresh take on everything JMU to all you lovely people!

We’re so excited for a new year and hope that everyone has a great start! Don’t forget to subscribe to the blog and follow us on Twitter! (@JMUDailyDuke)
