Looking for a place to enjoy a nice fall stroll? Don’t have time in your busy schedule to go far from campus? You are in luck! The Edith J. Carrier Arboretum shows nature at its best this fall and is located across the street from East Campus!
The Edith J. Carrier Arboretum offers walking trails to stretch your legs and see all that it has to offer. It also has many benches for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors.
The spotlight of the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum is the beautiful scenery that change with the seasons. During this fall season, many of the trees have changed to a beautiful orange and red color that is great for your fall photo collection.
With the beautiful fall leaves that are in season, some of the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum’s flowers and other plants are still in bloom during the season. Although they are few right now, these flowers still add a beauty.
The Edith J. Carrier Arboretum also hosts a multitude of events during every semester. These include art exhibits, moonlight holiday carriage rides (in December), and photo of the month contest.
The photo of the month is the best photo taken at the arboretum that specific month. Anyone can enter the contest by private message on Facebook or by using the hashtag #EJCAphotocontest on Instagram. The deadline for each month is midnight on the last day of the month.
The Edith J. Arboretum is open 365 days a year from sunrise to sunset. Take a study break and enjoy the great outdoors!
