With the recent FCS Championship Football win under our belt, lets continue the momentum and keep up that duke spirit! Cheer on your fellow Duke athletes at the sporting events going on this winter season.

There’s clearly been a lot of excitement surrounding the fact that our football Dukes are NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. Whether you watched the game first hand from Frisco, or got together with friends and had a viewing party, we all got to experience this win together – and it was awesome! Now that we’re back at JMU for another great semester, what better way to keep up the duke spirit than attending the winter sporting events happening on campus!

To be perfectly honest, I haven’t been to a ton of winter sport events myself. So this past MLK holiday weekend, I went to the Men’s Basketball game vs. Elon with my roommates. Let me tell you, it ended up being a very fun and entertaining afternoon! The band was loud and lively, along with the cheerleaders and Dukettes, and there were a lot of give-away contests in between quarters. Not to mention, the last three minutes of the game were quite intense and came down to a buzzer-shot for the Dukes to win. Overall, it was a fun time! Did I mention you get in free with your JAC card? You don’t even have to print out a ticket. It’s never too late to start getting involved, and attending winter sport events are a fun way to do just that. Check out these winter sport teams I’ve listed below and when they’re upcoming games are!
