The first day of spring brought the first snow day of the year to JMU last week and although it was a welcomed day off, we are ready for the warm spring weather! Here are some outdoor dining spaces in Harrisonburg you can enjoy once the weather starts to warm up.
If you’re craving tacos with a view, this is the place for you. Magnolia’s has a beautiful rooftop dining space with views of downtown Harrisonburg. The quaint rooftop lounge has spring-time vibes with authentic Mexican food and tequila pairings.
Jimmy Madison’s is a downtown staple. Known for their southern comfort food and whiskey pairings, Jimmy Madison’s has a laid-back vibe that’s perfect for every occasion. Their rooftop dining space also has amazing views of downtown Harrisonburg, the perfect Instagram-able spot.
Capital Ale House
Another downtown staple, Capital Ale House is known for their rooftop beer garden. The American-fine dining style paired with beer from around the world makes Capital Ale House a frequented spot.
Last but not least and everyone’s favorite, Dave’s Taverna. Located on Port Republic Road, Dave’s has American and Mediterranean style dining for a college budget. Dave’s may not be downtown, but you can’t beat the sunset views from their large outdoor dining space on the adjacent deck. Complete with hanging lights, the views of the sunset over the Shenandoah mountains can’t be beaten.
